Players around the world, especially in Europe, are gearing up for the start of the sixth season of the Eureka Poker Tour at King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, from March 2-8, 2016.
This marks the third time the poker tour has opened its season at King's Casino and the fourth time overall that the tour has visited what we affectionately call "Rozvegas".
The poker festival features 22 action-packed events, with €1.5 million in guaranteed prize pools highlighted by the five-day Eureka Rozvadov €1,100 Main Event being held from March 4-8. The Main Event comes with a huge €500,000 guarantee.
Players will have plenty of chances to build a stack with three opening flights. The first two providing players a starting stack of 25,000 in chips and 45-minute blind levels. To add a small twist, the final opening flight will be held in a turbo format and only be available to those who entered and busted out of either one or both of the other two opening flights.
Last year's Main Event at King's Casino was the largest in the tour's history with 664 players, and this year it could be even bigger. Austria's Raphael Wimmer navigated through the field in 2015 to secure a huge €99,685 payday.
Players can qualify into the Main Event for much less than the €1,100 buy-in with satellites still running on Eureka Poker Tour's exclusive online partner, PokerStars. There are also live satellites starting at €170 at King's Casino.
In addition to the Main Event, high-stakes players are looking forward to the exciting action in the King's Casino €5,300 Super High Roller taking place March 2-3 and the €2,200 High Roller taking place on March 6-7.
Low-stakes players also will have plenty to choose from with many lower buy-in events, including €330 Rozvadov Cup on March 2-5 with a €100,000 guaranteed prize pool, the €70 King's Local Championship (March 5) with a €15,000 guaranteed prize pool, and the €60 Eureka Locals NL Hold'em Deepstack EPT Edition (March 8) with a €7,000 guarantee.
Additionally, ring games at all stakes spread across of a variety of poker formats will be running 24 hours a day.
When not playing, poker players can enjoy the beautiful countryside surrounding the casino, which is conveniently located 90 minutes from Prague and minutes away from the Czech border. Unibet pro Quentin Lecomte recently called King's Casino one of the best in Europe, stating that, "Right now, this is definitely one of the best casinos in Europe. Things are not the same in many other places on the continent, where you are treated like a king only when you play slots or roulette."
For those of you that wish to follow the action, the PokerNews Live Reporting team will be on hand to cover the Main Event and other tournaments on the schedule. During last year's PokerNews Cup, which was also held at King's Casino, the PokerNews Live Reporting team scouted out some of the things you can do in Rozvadov and you can read our top five recommendations here.

Canadian gaming giant Amaya has filed a notice of appeal against a Kentucky court order to pay $870 million (€794 million) in damages for subsidiary PokerStars’ allegedly illegal operations in the US state between 2006 and 2011.
Amaya said that it has filed a $100 million supersedeas bond to stay enforcement of the order “during the pendency of the appeals process”.
Amaya added that it will “continue to vigorously challenge the trial court’s order”.
“In late January, pursuant to and in accordance with the procedures set forth in the merger agreement governing the acquisition of the PokerStars business, a subsidiary of Amaya submitted a notice of claim to the sellers’ representative and escrow agent seeking indemnification for losses and potential losses caused by breaches under the merger agreement,” Amaya said.
Amaya added that its subsidiary’s notice of claim requested “among other things, that the escrow agent retain the then-remaining balance of the escrow fund established under the merger agreement in an aggregate amount equal to approximately $300 million”.

The final table of IPT Malta had it all, crazy bluffs, big suck-outs, and above all, some wonderfully skilful displays from those involved. Greek PokerStars player Georgios Zisimopoulos deservedly took the title after playing nearly perfectly, particularly after the tournament went short-handed.
Zimsimopoulos, an Economics graduate from Athens University had previously had runner-up finishes in side events in London, Berlin and Prague while he has won nearly $2 million online including a WCOOP Omaha event for $100,000.
The tournament started with a bang when EPT champion Julian Track and Frederik Reusch both picked up aces in the very first hand, predictably getting all their money in the middle preflop. This quickly set the tone for the final table - a very aggressive one and Track was soon to become a victim of this action.
Michael Feil had opened to 165,000 at 40,000/80,000 with [Ks][Ts] before Track made a positional three-bet to 365,000 from the button with [5c][3c]. In the big blind, Zisimopoulos four-bet to 755,000. Feil got out of the way and the onus was back on Track. Perhaps aware of Zisimopoulos' reputation and the money on offer, Track shoved all in for just shy of 5 million chips, figuring there was no way that Zisimopoulos could call without an absolute monster hand.
The problem for the German was that Zisimpoulos had picked up a real hand - [Ac][Ah]. Nevertheless, Track still gave the Greek player a sweat, the board came [8c][Tc][4h][9h][5h] and Zisimpoulos faded the flopped flush draw. Track soon lost a flip to compatriot Reusch and the tournament was quickly knocked down to seven players.
Ezio Nisoli was the tightest player at the table and coming back after the break, the Italian player had just four big blinds remaining. He pushed from the button with [Kd][8h] but Jaroslaw Sikora called in the small blind with [Td][Tc]. Nisoli couldn't find a king on the [Jc][5h][Qc][Ah] board and he went out in 7th place, winning €29,800.
Georgi Abuladze quickly followed the Italian player out of the door, pushing for his last 13 big blinds with [Ac][7s] from under-the-gun. Jaroslaw Sikora made the call with [7h][7c] and an ace-less board left the tournament with just five players remaining.
Action continued for around an hour and a half without much incident beyond Reusch doubling through Michael Feil and Nicolino di Carlo dominating the action. When the break came, the players debated for an hour on whether they could come to a deal. Eventually one was made where €28,000 was set aside for the winner with the following prizes for the remaining players:
Nicolino Di Carlo - €119,585
Georgios Zisimopoulos - €114,205
Michael Feil - €101,260
Jaroslaw Sikora - €97,975
Frederik Reusch - €97,675
Immediately following this, Reusch pushed for his last 3.7 million (blinds 100,000/200,000) and Sikora made the call with [Ks][Kh]. Reusch showed [3s][3d] and the board came an unhelpful [Ah][Ad][5c][Js][4h].
At this point di Carlo was still the chip lead but he relinquished it to the Greek player has Zisimopoulos picked off several bluffs - including one where he donk-led the river for just 200,000 with [Qs][Jc] on a [Kd][3c][Qh][Ac][5d] board. Di Carlo responded by raising to 2.8 million but Zisimopoulos snap-called. The Italian let out a wry smile and turned over [7c][6h]. Zisimopoulos would not lose the chip lead for the rest of the night.
It was all skill for Zisimopoulos, he had a little bit of luck too. Michael Feil had been all in with [Ad][9c] on a [4s][9h][5d] flop against Zisimopoulos' [Th][9s] but after a [Jh] turn, the [Ts] on the river gave the Greek player two pair leaving Zisimopoulos with two-thirds of the chips with play three-handed.
Di Carlo went out in third, four-betting all in with [9h][9d] against Zisimopoulos [Ah][Jh] for a pot worth almost half the chips in play. The board came [Ad][8s][3c][4s][2s] and Sikora found himself heads-up for the title with just 15 big blinds but at an 8:1 deficit.
Predictably, the heads-up battle didn't last long but Zisimopoulos needed to hit a three-outer once again, similar to his elimination of Feil. Sikora open-shoved for 12 big blinds with [Ad][Kd] and Zisimopoulos made the call with [Ah][4d], there was a four on the [6h][4s][2s] flop and the [Tc] turn and [2c] couldn't produce a king for the Polish player. Sikora finshed taking €97,975 for second while Zisimopoulos took the extra €28,000 to boost his final earnings in this tournament to €142,205.
With the IPT Main Event now over, all eyes will firmly rest on the EPT Main Event, you can follow all the action here or check back on all the reports on the IPT to see how everything unfolded.

Much like the night's penultimate level, the last hour of Day 2 of the France Poker Series Main Event at the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT Grand Final festival was fast-paced. Many more cashed, others held steady, and a few built their stacks upwards and upwards like the mountains reaching up into the Monte Carlo sky at night.
At the close of play, the most mountainous pile of chips belonged to Dean-Henri Taibi, who after grabbing the chip lead following the bursting of the bubble continued to climb steadily to end with 1,325,000.
Jose Besalduch also did well for himself today, ending with 1,218,000.
Romain Bier won a big three-way all in during the last level to earn a couple of knockouts and a huge pot, helping him end with 1,198,000.
And Sergio Braga likewise managed to join the seven-figure club, ending with 1,183,000.
The day began with 314 players, with Frederik Treusch returning as the chip leader to start the day. Soon others began to challenge him, however, as the action moved quickly early on, with Simon Deadman winning a big one to jump up near the top of the counts.
Andre Akkari was one of a handful of Team PokerStars Pros returning on Day 2, and in fact he would be one of two to last into the money despite spending much of the afternoon well away from his stack participating in a shoot of a new Shark Cage episode. Akkari would ultimately finish 69th.
Soon the bubble drew near, and as Akkari was being blinded down the field was carved to 144. Then following a protracted hand-for-hand period the bubble finally burst, even though we didn't quite describe it in those terms at the time.
Once Cedric Demore unfortunately fell a spot shy of the cash, the knockouts came rapidly with the final 143 working all of the way down to just 57 by night's end. The cashers included Simon Deadman (59th), Valeriu Coca (73rd), Alexander Kuzmin (74th), Timo Pfutzenreuter (94th), Ben Warrington (101st), Dimitar Danchev (105th), Amos Ben (117th), Kevin MacPhee (128th), Team PokerStars Pro Julien Brecard (131st), Heinz Kamutzki (132nd), Abdullatif Attia (140th), and Jack Salter (142nd). Click here for an up-to-date list of payouts.
Meanwhile EPT4 Prague winner Arnaud Mattern (270,000) and La Maison Du Bluff star Abou Sy (213,000) were among those surviving the night. Click here for a look at the chip counts for all of those who survived Day 2.
They'll reconvene tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. for Day 3, with the plan being to play down to the eight-handed final table. Let's plan to get back together then as well to see who emerges from those remaining to scale to the tournament's mountaintop and claim the €177,000 first prize on Sunday.
Meanwhile, continue to enjoy coverage of other events including the €100,000 Super High Roller via those links on the right. Bon soir!
