The final five continued on toward the end of Level 27 with Martin Finger continuing to enjoy a chip lead by a wide margin. Then in a flash came two eliminations within two hands to conclude the level.

Both hands involved hands pitting players holding a single ace, although in one the player who was dominated won the hand.

That one came first and began with a raise to 100,000 by Finger from the button, a reraise to 270,000 by Taylor Paur from the small blind, and a call from Finger. The flop came 5♠7♠A♦, and when Paur continued for 295,000, Finger called. The turn was the 5♣, pairing the board. This time Paur checked, and Finger fired 450,000. Paur stuck around. The pot had grown to just over 2.1 million.

The river was the 9♦. Paur checked again, and after some deliberation Finger pushed all in and Paur called for his last 1.5 million without wasting much time. Paur had A♣Q♣ for aces and fives, but Finger had a better two pair with A♣7♥ and Paur was out in fifth ($94,920).

On the very next hand it was Stefan Jedlicka opening for 100,000 from the button, and when the young Polish pro Jose Carlos Garcia pushed all in for 980,000 from the blinds Jedlicka was quick with a call.

Garcia's A♠6♥ was behind Jedlicka's A♦Q♣, but this time ace-queen won as the board ran out K♦5♥8♦2♣J♠ to send Garcia railward in fourth ($119,820).

The blinds will be 30,000/60,000 with a 10,000 when Level 28 begins. Here are the stacks to which the final trio will be returning:

1. Martin Finger -- 7,920,000
2. Stefan Jedlicka -- 3,480,000
3. Josh Kay -- 3,045,000
