A total of 143 players entered the €700 + €70 buy-in, even, generating a prizepool worth €97,097. Fifteen players gets paid, starting at €1,699.

The three Portuguese Team PokerStars Pros also played yesterday and, finally was said and done, two of them survived and can be back for Day 2 today: Henrique Pinho (22,200 chips) and Nuno Coelho (8,100). João Nunes, who had an ideal start climbing from 15,000 starting chips to 40,000 within the first three levels, found himself at the wrong side of a cooler within the last level of play when his A♠A♦ didn't improve after a Q♠Q♥6♦ flop where his rival held Q♦J♥ and the entire chips went to the middle.
