As expected, the first level of Day 2 has been packed full of eliminations. The sound of players riffling with chips is only matched by dealer cries of "Player down!" which echo across the room with incredible frequency.

Team PokerStars Pro Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier

The tournament is already over for one of the Team PokerStars Pros. Christophe De Meulder is, in his own words, "heading back to the virtual felt" after becoming one of over a hundred casualties in the first level Team PokerStars Pro Online Gabriel Nassif has also been eliminated after starting the day short. Julian Brecard saw his table break and now he's been moved into a tough seat to the right of former EPT champion David Vamplew. Meanwhile Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier looks the epitome of cool with a stack approaching the 100,000-mark.

Doing best of all at the moment is Team PokerStars Pro Online Ronan Montfort. Ali Debreuille had opened to 9,000 from the cutoff before Monfort made it 17,100 in the small blind. Debreuille made the call but then quickly folded to a 9,200 bet on a 6♥7♥4♠ board.

It's a full house again, but these players will have to work hand to make the money

Monfort is up to around 120,000 at this point but it's Jonathan Koskas who still holds the chip lead. The latter still has over 300,000 at this point and looks incredibly comfortable. Among the long list of casualties are EPT5 champion Salvatore Bonavena, Sofia Lovgren and Vojtech Ruzicka who won the €10,000 EPT High Roller here in Deauville back in Season 9.

FPS Deaville update:

- Less than 500 players remain
- 199 places will be paid
- Level 12 (800/1,600/200)
