Follow Live Updates from MSPT Canterbury Park $200K Guarantee Main Event

This weekend, the Mid-States Poker Tour is at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota. The stop, which hosted the inaugural MSPT event years ago, has become a staple on the schedule, and all weekend long, players — who only need to be 18 years old to play — will have the chance at a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool, one that could very well grown to twice that.

"The MSPT is excited to return to Minnesota and to visit the stop where it all began," gushed MSPT owner and operator Bryan Mileski. "Canterbury Park is one of the Midwest's premiere venues, and in addition to great cash games and top-notch food options, the tournament tables are always full. We're looking forward to yet another successful MSPT Canterbury Park."

Earlier this month, the tour held its second-largest stop in history when Jason Mirza won the MSPT Potawatomi in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for $147,529, and then this past weekend Greg Himmelbrand won the first-ever MSPT Maryland Live! for $72,910.

As for the MSPT Canterbury Park, the last time the tour was in town was the Season 5 finale back in December. That is when 432 entrants took to the felt to battle for a $106,483 first-place prize, and tour regular Peixin Liu emerged as the last man standing to take down the biggest live score of his career.
