Looking ahead to the weekend on PokerStars.
In a world which is at times unpredictable, at least there are the weekend majors. It's an immovable feast bringing continuity and maybe a profit to the poker player's life. And long may it continue. You'll find everything you want, just where you left it, in the PokerStars lobby.
While there's plenty to play there's also plenty to read. The Grand Final of the Latin American Poker Tour got under way this week, playing on over the weekend with live coverage from Brazil on the PokerStars Blog, and on PokerStars.tv.
At the time of writing there were 426 entries for the opening two flights, with 202 players currently remaining. Follow the action through to the end, with reports from our man in Brazil, Martin Harris.
If you wanted to learn a thing or two, you could do a lot worse than do exactly what Randy Lew told you to do. Now you can see what we mean as "Nanonoko" himself did a little high stakes poker training on Twitch. Learn from the master in the video below.
You know the situation with Spin & Go's. You buy in for anything between $0.50 and $100 for a three handed turbo. Then the "spin" side of things makes life interesting. Depending on where the spin lands you'll play for a prize pool of between three times and, well, the jackpot.
If you were reading this thinking "yeah, but nobody ever wins the jackpot" think again. It happened again last weekend - the seventh time in a month.
Canadian player 'Koovoon' was the beneficiary Sunday in a special $100 Spin & Go. It took just nine minutes to win a $1 million.
We tell you this because you still have time to do the same as part of the Spin & Go one year anniversary celebrations. They continue until the end of the month, which just about leaves you the weekend to find a spare nine minutes. Read the full story here.
The next episode of Shark Cage is now available, with a new line up including Andre Akkari, Leo Margets and Fatima Moreira de Melo on stage to avoid public humiliation in a giant cage. Check it out below.
The PokerStars Christmas festival is in full swing (we ask you to kindly refrain from pointing out that it's still November).
But between now and the end of the year we'll be paying out $10 million in prizes, with various events and promotions to fill your stockings. It all culminates with a $5 million guaranteed Sunday Million on December 27, with a minimum first prize of $500,000.
It's enough to put Christmas cheer into any poker player. Find out more here.
We're now just a week away from the next leg of EPT Season 12. Next up is Prague, one of the most popular stops on the tour, complete with cold weather and Christmas cheer. It normally has some great poker thrown in for good measure. This year there will be 97 events - including the Main Event and High Rollers - as well as tournaments to suit the more modest bankroll.
It all starts on Sunday December 6 with the Eureka Poker Tour Main Event. Find all the details about the festival on the EPT homepage.
With a month left in 2015 it means the Tournament Leader Board is entering its closing stages. There's $35,000 to the winner, along with entry into a year's worth of Sunday Millions.
So far 'ismoas we count down to the 2015 winner.
This being the season of Thank giving, players will get the opportunity to give something back both before and during EPT Prague.
Next week there's a special online charity tournament for Prague qualifiers, with the top 30 players invited to go indoor skydiving during the festival (I'm not making this up). Then on December 10 there will be a €150 buy in tournament (with €50 rebuys), all of which will raise money for Right to Play, which PokerStars has pledged to support for another year after a successful partnership in 2015.
If you like poker, skydiving, and helping organisations who help those less fortunate than us, then it's just the thing. Find all the details here.
All that's left to say is good luck at the tables this weekend. Tell us all about it on Twitter @PokerStarsBlog
