A former poker dealer at Cleveland’s Horseshoe Casino received 18 months of probation after admitting to stealing $711 worth of chips and cash from the poker room in 2015, according to a report from Cleveland.com.
He admitted to siphoning off money from the poker tables and counting it as tips.
Randall White, the one-time card dealer, was also ordered to perform 250 hours of community service and repay the money. He was facing up to six years behind bars for six felony charges.
White was caught by the casino in June.
The sentence follows an incident that happened in the same poker room last year involving a dealer allegedly hiding a card up his sleeve in order to cheat.
