Speculation inside the gaming industry is that online gambling could be coming to the U.S. sooner in place of later. Legislation have been proposed on the federal level to control online poker, and casino games will not be far behind that.
After Black Friday, lawmakers have stepped up efforts to get the web poker regulations complete. Those self same legislators, however, have given no indication that games akin to blackjack, baccarat, slots, or craps, could be part of that legislation.
Caesars Entertainment is obviously one of the most companies that may be hoping the U.S. laws change. Caesars has already launched online casinos in jurisdictions where online gambling is regulated, and Caesars believes it's only an issue of time before the united states follows suit.
"I can't recall to mind another example where there's something an American should buy that no American entity can provide," said Caesars CEO Gary Loveman, in a video interview with Financial Times.
