Winning as a great cure for boredom

Of the entire comments we've had from team PokerStars Pros over the process the past two weeks, wherein the Billionth Tournament Carnival was gathering pace, there have been perhaps none as pragmatic as those of Johnny Lodden.

While you'll be able to reflect all you prefer at the warm glow of victory which regularly accompanies a difficult fought tournament, sometimes it's about something altogether more basic -- a fist-punching joy that's not necessarily glorious, but is good enough to merit a "get in!" as you quickly pack up your laptop before anyone starts wondering where you have been all this time.

Like whilst you need to be on vacation for instance, within the company of your family, sharing time and relaxing with family members.

Lodden himself takes up the tale.

"I remember after I was vacationing with the family in Spain, and that i was bored out of my mind one Sunday," he said. "I DID NOT have any money online on the time, so I went to the FPP shop and acquired myself a ticket to play the Sunday Warm-Up, then I STOPPED up making all of it of how to the overall table and ultimately chopping it three-handed for around $65K or something. That turned out to be with the intention to relieve my boredom!

Not a moment for the family album perhaps, but an excellent story none the fewer. And not forget, a payday of $65,000 goes a ways when you are apologizing on your family for disappearing for a couple of hours.*

If you're most memorable tournament moment was nothing greater than a cure for boredom, or if it had any special desiring to you, we'd like to hear it. Meanwhile, to these stateside who may well be reflecting at the importance of family today, we want you a contented thanksgiving.
