Brad Keller of San Jose, California, has been named controller for Oaklawn Racing & Gaming.
Keller has over 20 years of domestic and international finance and accounting experience having worked for the Big Four public accounting firms of Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers and having held operational and financial leadership roles in Open Text Corporation (OTEX) and Silicon Graphics International (SGI). During his career he has worked with a wide range of diverse companies ranging from venture-backed start-ups to Fortune 50 corporations and has led global teams of up to 100 professionals. He has been a licensed CPA in multiple states.
Keller is a native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and earned his Masters and Bachelor degrees in Accounting from Oklahoma State University. Growing up, he spent vacations near Hot Springs on Lake Ouachita with his family and for close to ten years has maintained a second home at the lake. He has been to Oaklawn numerous times as a fan, and said this opportunity is “a dream come true.”
“For most of the last decade I’ve been making trips to Lake Ouachita and Hot Springs as often as my schedule would allow,” said Keller. “The area is one of my favorite parts of the country and I am truly looking forward to being able to live there full-time and work for a company with such an outstanding national reputation as Oaklawn.”
Eric Jackson, Oaklawn’s general manager, said Keller’s joining Oaklawn is the result of a nation-wide search.
“Oaklawn already has an excellent team of professionals in our accounting department,” said Jackson. “Brad should be a perfect fit, and we will all benefit from his vast experience.”
Jackson said Keller is currently wrapping up client commitments on the West coast and will begin at Oaklawn in early 2016.
