McDonald Carano, Nevada’s oldest full-service statewide law firm, is pleased to announce that longtime Appellate and Commercial & Complex Litigation partner, Jeff Silvestri, has been named Managing Partner of the firm, effective January 1, 2016. As Managing Partner, Silvestri will provide strategic leadership and direction for the firm of more than 50 attorneys practicing in the areas of litigation, real estate, construction, gaming, appellate, energy, environment and natural resources, high-net-worth tax, trust and estate representation and business law. He will be the first Las Vegas-based Managing Partner of the firm.

“Jeff has spent the past 20 years as a devoted member of the firm, constantly moving himself and the firm in a direction towards growth, success and sustainability,” said John Frankovich, the out-going managing partner who held the position for nearly 15 years. “He is a thoughtful choice and we are confident that with his leadership, McDonald Carano will continue to be a leader and innovator in Nevada’s competitive legal environment.”

Silvestri will continue to represent clients in a broad range of appellate and litigation matters. Throughout his career, he has handled litigation and appellate matters for Harris Corporation, IGT, D. R. Horton, Inc., the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Franchise Tax Board of the State of California, Fidelity National Title, Tutor-Perini Building Corporation, and Tutor-Saliba Corporation.
