He's done it again! Steve O'Dwyer has won another High Roller title. In the final hand he moved all-in from the button with [Ad][3d] and Drinan tanked before calling all-in for about 18 big blinds with [Qd][Th].
The [3h][4s][6s][Ah][5s] board made O'Dywer two pair and gave him another title and a trophy to add to his growing collection. -- NW

2:45am: O'Dwyer increases his lead

The first big pot of heads-up play has gone to Steve O'Dwyer and as a result he's increased his chip lead. He raised to 300,000 on the button and Drinan called from the big blind. On the [jc][4s][6s] flop O'Dywer bet 300,000 and Drinan check-called. The [9h] urn was checked through and the [8h] completed the board.
This is where things got interesting, Drinan led for 500,000, O'Dwyer requested a look at Drinan's stack and then raised to 1,650,000. This sent Drinan deep into the tank, where he stayed for about five minutes, before reluctantly folding his hand. -- NW

Ivan Luca's run in this tournament is over but he can count himself unfortunate to be out. The key hand in his demise came when Steve O'Dwyer shoved the button for 1,840,000 with [Kd][6c], Luca tank called with [Kh][Qd] and looked set to knock O'Dwyer out until the board ran [Qs][8h][6s][8d][2s] to double O'Dwyer.
That left Luca with just 400,000 and they went in on the very next hand. Connor Drinan raised to 250,000 on the button, Luca shoved, O'Dwyer called from the big blind and Drinan also came along.
The two players checked to the river of the [Qs][8h][6s][8d][2s] board at which point O'Dwyer bet 200,000. As Drinan was thinking Luca seemed to know his time was up as he gathered some of his belongings. After Drinan folded, O'Dwyer showed [As][9s] for the nut flush, Luca showed [Kh][Ts] and Drinan mucked. --NW

Down to just 1,110,000 Ivan Luca shoved from the button with [Ad][6h] and Connor Drinan snap called from the big blind with [Ah][Qh]. Luca was in deep trouble and needed to hit to stay alive. The [Tc][6c][2c] was just what he needed and he stayed in front on the [9s] turn and [8d] river. --NW

Connor Drinan is up to 4.7M after winning a pot against Steve O'Dwyer. It was limped pre and Drinan then bet 225,000 on the [2d][5d][Jh] flop, call from O'Dwyer. The [Jc] turn checked through and O'Dwyer also checked the [7c] river. After a bit of tank time Drinan slid out a bet of 500,000 and O'Dwyer took his time before calling. From under-the-gun Ike Haxton raised to what looked like 375,000, it was all of his yellow 25k chips and amount to over half his stack. It folded to Connor Drinan in the big blind, he set Haxton all-in and he very quickly said call. Haxton was all-in for about 700,000.

For so long Ivan Luca led this tournament, he's now down to just 11 big blinds after losing a pot against Steve O'Dwyer. In the hand in question Luca limped the button, O'Dwyer completed from the small blind and Connor Drinan checked his option.
The flop fell [Td][Jd][4c], Luca bet 160,000 and O'Dwyer was the only caller. The [Kh] hit the turn, Luca bet again, this time 365,000 and again O'Dwyer called. There was no further betting on the [Js] river and O'Dwyer opened [Kd][3d] which was good enough to win the pot. --NW

The pay jumps at his stage are big and the players know ICM and this was illustrated in a hand between Ivan Luca and Connor Drinan.
The Argentinian opened to 200,000 on the button, Drinan shoved and now Luca went into the tank. He looked at Ike Haxton's stack - he's the shortest of the four - and then consulted a piece of paper in front of him, on which he's written the payout structure. He then considered his cards again, whatever he was holding he didn't like it enough to call all-in and he pitched his cards into the muck. -- NW

The stacks are so bunched that Connor Drinan has just gone from worst to first in a single double up.
He shoved for 1,300,000 with [5s][5c] and Ike Haxton called with [Ad][Jh]. Haxton took the lead on the [Jd][Th][Ts] flop, he also hit the [As] turn, but the [5h] river was one of the two outs in the deck that could save Drinan. -- NW

Some much needed chips for Connor Drinan, who's up to 1,250,000 after winning a pot against Steve O'Dwyer.
It was a blind on blind battle with O'Dwyer completing and Drinan checking his option. Drinan then called bets of 80,000 and 220,000 respectively on the [8h][6h][Qc] flop and [Ah] turn. On the [Jd] river O'Dwyer gave up, checking and then instantly mucking when Drinan bet. -- NW

With four players left there's only a couple of big blinds between the top three, whilst Connor Drinan has been cut adrift:

After doubling once through Connor Drinan, Isaac Haxton has done it again - even if he did have to get lucky. Haxton jammed on the button and, after a few minutes thinking it over, Luca reshoved from the small blind. O'Dwyer got out of the way.
Luca had [as][8d], which was in great shape against Haxton's [js][8s]. The [kc][7d][tc] flop gave Haxton some potential, the [qd] turn was even better and then the [9c] on the river brought him a straight. Remarkably, after being the short-stack for a good while, Haxton is now the chip leader with 2.6m. Luca drops to 2.3m. - RJ
12:50am: Ike Haxton doubles through Connor Drinan

A much needed double up for Ike Haxton who spiked a river card to stay alive:
It was Ivan Luca who started the action, raising to 120,000 from under-the-gun, Connor Driann (small blind) and Haxton (big blind) both called. All three players checked the [Ac][Kh][8s] flop and the [7c] fell on the turn. Drinan made a move at the pot, leading out for 140,000, Haxton now went deep into the tank, he got a look at Drinan's stack (about 1,500,000 including his bet) and then looked at the tournament clock before announcing that he was all-in.
That got rid of Luca, but Drinan got confirmation of the amount of Haxton's shove (395,000 total) and then made the call.

With four players remaining the action has slowed down considerably. There have been a lot of pots that have either ended pre-flop with one player stealing the blinds, or a simple continuation bet has done the trick on the flop.
O'Dwyer, Luca and Drinan have all had their turn winning a few hands but Isaac Haxton is on a definite downward curve and really needs to get moving if he is to challenge for this title. - RJ

Another elimination, and yet again it was Ivan Luca who played the role of executioner.
His latest victim was Erik Seidel, the American opened to 100,000 from the cut-off and Luca called from the small blind. The two of them saw a [2s][9s][3c] flop. Check from Luca, bet of 120,000 from Seidel, call from Luca.
The [Tc] fell on fourth street, again Luca checked, Seidel took his time here, twirling one yellow 25K chip between his fingers before electing to bet 250,000. He only had about 230,000 back so when Luca set him all-in, he took a look back at his cards and then called it off.

12am: Dropping like flies

We just reported on Ivan Luca finding pocket Aces to eliminate Paul Newey. Moments later he was taking out another victim pre-flop (Bryn Kenney this time) and now he had pocket Kings! Kenney's [qs][js] couldn't catch up and the Super High Roller champ will not be winning the $50k High Roller this year. Kenney departs in seventh for $185k.
A few minutes later and Luca was at it again. He raised enough on the button to put both Daniel Dvoress and Steve O'Dwyer all in. Dvoress called and, surprisingly, so did O'Dwyer. Luca showed [as][8c], Dvoress had [ac][th] but O'Dwyer had them both pipped with pocket Jacks. The Jacks held up on a [3h][ks][jc][2h][4d] board to eliminate Dvoress in sixth and hand O'Dwyer a huge triple-up.
O'Dwyer now has 2.3m, Luca is still the chip leader with 2.6m and Dvoress has $235,460 to sooth his sorrows. - RJ
11:50pm: Erik Seidel doubles through Ivan Luca

Unsurprisingly it's Ivan Luca who's driving the action, he's opening a ton of pots and one of those opens just led to Erik Seidel doubling up.
Luca raised to 100,000 from under-the-gun with [Qs][Ts], Seidel shoved for 395,000 with [Ad][Js] and after taking a bit of time to think about it, Luca called it off. The [Ks][8c][3h] flop missed both players, the [6s] turn gave Luca a flush draw to go with his pair outs, but the [2c] river was a blank and Seidel stayed alive. -- NW

Ivan Luca is running roughshod over this final table. The Argentine has around 4m for a runaway chip lead. His stack just got a little larger with the elimination of Paul Newey.
Luca opened , Newey jammed for not even a full raise and was instantly called. Luca had all the chips, and he also had two black Aces. They held up versus Newey's Nines, and even hit top set on the flop for good measure. - RJ

Shortly after he eliminated Nick Petrangelo, Ike Haxton had a go at sending Steve O'Dwyer to the rail. The latter moved in from mid-position for exactly 10 big blinds and Haxton, who was the big blind, had a brief think before calling.

10:55pm: Double, double, toil and trouble

Isaac Haxton is in trouble after doubling up two opponents in the last few minutes. The first was Erik Seidel, who shoved over a Haxton raise with Ace-King and was looked up by Haxton's Ace-Jack. Seidel made a full house on the river and his stack swelled to 800,000.
Next it was Nick Petrangelo's turn to take candy from the shop of Haxton. Again, it was all in pre-flop. This time Haxton had the best of it - [ac][3s] - while Petrangelo had Jack-Ten. The latter went on to make trip Jacks to send Petrangelo up to 640,000. Despite the losses, Haxton still has 800,000 chips.

10:45pm: Doubles for Newey, Dvoress and Kenney

Three all-ins and three double ups to tell you about...
First to stay alive was Paul Newey, he moved in for 150,000 with [Ac][Jc] and Connor Drinan gave him a spin with [As][Td]. The dominating hand held on the [5h][Kh][9d][2h][7h] board. "I may not be the best player, but I'm the best at staying alive," said Newey after the hand!
On the next hand Ivan Luca opened to 62,000 from under-the-gun, Daniel Dvoress jammed for 379,000 from the small blind and action passed back to Luca. He took a look to his left to get eyes on Scott Seiver's stack (the American has been moved tables to balance them) and then put a tower of chips on the felt to indicate a call.

The [5d][Qc][2h][5c][Qs] board meant Dvoress' aces held up and he doubled to around 800,000.
Whilst that was happening Steve O'Dwyer and Bryn Kenney were playing an all-in on the other table. O'Dywer opened with [7d][7s], Kenney shoved for 337,000 with [Ah][Ks] and O'Dwyer called it off. The [3s][4s][As][4d][8d] board meant Kenney hit the flop to stay alive. --NW
10:40pm: Timothy Adams eliminated in 11th place ($96,500)

The first in the money finisher is Timothy Adams. In his exit hand Ivan Luca opened to 60,000 on the button with [9s][9d], Adams jammed for 515,000 with [7s][7c] and Luca called the shove.
The [Kh][5h][Kd][6d][Qh] board meant Adams was out and Luca has an absolute mountain of chips now. -- NW

10:35pm: Paul Volpe is your bubble boy

After a tense bubble period that featured quite a few short-stacks doubling up we are now officially in the money. Paul Volpe was the unfortunately player who will walk away with nothing, and his demise came when he shoved [3c][3h] and was looked up by Connor Drinan's [ac][jc].
A [6s][9c][6c][as][js] smashed Drinan's hand and, after consolatory 'Good games' from all round, Volpe picked up his backpack and went off on his way. The remaining 11 players are all guaranteed at least $96,500. - RJ
10:25pm: Newey doubles on the bubble
Down to just 101,000 Paul Newey moved all-in from the button with [Ac][6c] and got a call from Connor Drinan, who was the big blind. When the action finished at the other table it was time for showdown and Drinan opened [Jh][3h].

10:10pm: Kenney goes for the double

After winning the Super High Roller yesterday Bryn Kenney is putting forward a strong effort to win this event too. He just doubled up through Scott Seiver and now has 1m chips. Kenney had [ah][ad] and made an 83,000 bet on the [6s][4d][6h] flop. Seiver then check-raised all in and was quickly called. Seiver had just T-4 off-suit and was in big trouble. The [6c][7c] runout did him no favours and Seiver drops to 310,000 while Kenney sits comfortably - for now. - RJ
10pm: Bubble time, Kenny Smaron out in 13th

We're now on the stone bubble as EPT12 Prague High Roller winner Kenny Smaron has just busted out to Ivan Luca who now has about 25% of the chips in play.
The Argentinian opened to 48,000 with [Qc][Td], Smaron shoved for 162,000 with [As][Ts] and Luca called off the extra. The [8c][3c][Tc] flop gave Luca a flush draw and he hit it on the [Ac] turn. Smaron had full-house outs but missed them on the [Jc] river. --NW
10pm: Newey's King is better than your King

Short-stacked Paul Newey moved his remaining 80,000 stack into the middle and was called by Tim Adams. Both had King-high but Newey's [kc][jd] was dominating the [ks][9c] of Adams. That's the way it stayed as the board ran out [2c][5d][7h][ad][td], giving Newey a nice double-up to 190,000. He's still in the danger zone though with less than ten big blinds. 9:50pm: Almost bubble time

With 13 left and 11 spots paying the tension has noticeably gone up a notch. If they've folded, a lot of the players are getting up to look at the other table to check out the action and the stack sizes of the other players. -- NW
9:35pm: Busquet busts out

We are down to 13 after Olivier Busquet was eliminated by Erik Seidel. Most of the damage was done by Scott Seiver in the hand prior. The two saw a [3c][7s][2h] flop and Busquet check-called a 35,000 bet by Seiver. The [7c] turn was checked through and but on the [6d] river Seiver bet 100,000. It was half of Busquet's stack but he made the call and mucked when Seiver showed down [kh][ks].
That left Busquet with only about five big blinds, and they went into the middle when he was dealt [qs][9h] in the small blind. Seidel looked him up with [ks][6c] in the big blind and his pair of kings on the [kd][ac][qh][ad][3d] flop was good enough to send Busquet packing. - RJ

The pace of play continues to be frantic with two exits happening minutes after the final two table re-draw took place.
First to go was Zachary Clark, he raised to 130,000 on the button (from a stack of about 270,000), Scott Seiver then shoved from the small blind for 377,000 and Bryn Kenney then re-shoved from the big blind. Back on Clark he tanked before calling off the rest of his chips:

A lightning fast start to level 13 has seen three players bust out and two players double up.
First to go was Mustapha Kanit and he fell to Ivan Luca. The Argentinian opened to 32,000, Kanit three-bet to 86,000, Luca re-raised to 175,000, Kanit then shoved for about 460,000 and Luca snap called.

It was a classic race and one the pair won as the board came [4h][Jh][2c][8c][Qh], Luca is up to 1,260,000 as a result and the new chip leader.
As that was happening, Bryn Kenney shoved from the button (both blinds has <10 big blinds) with [2c][2d] and Dan Shak committed his last 160,000 with [As][Qh]. Again the pair stayed strong, holding up on a [9s][Kc][5s][8d][Jc] board.
That left just 17 players and it was soon 16 as Salman Behbehani three-bet shoved for about 100,000 with [Ah][8s] and failed to hold against Ivan Luca's [Qc][Jd] when the board ran out [4d][Js][3s][Jh][7d].
As well as three exits, Scott Seiver doubled through Nick Petrangelo when his [Ad][8d] turned a flush to drown Petrangelo's [As][Jh] and Zacahry Clark doubled against Paul Volpe. -- NW
