The attention of the poker world is also interested in the ecu Poker Tour Malta Festival, but there has been also quite a few tournament action online this Sunday, too.

Last week, David “dpeters17” Peters saw his PokerStars Sunday Million run result in a 16th-place finish. Yesterday, Peters made amends for his “close but no cigar” result by walking away with the $143,505.41 first-place prize.

It was an unbelievable result that reinforces Peters’ online tournament winnings during the $5 million barrier and represents his third-largest online profit his illustrious career this far. Peters also has a really perfect record in live tournaments, where he has won almost $12.5 million.

Although Peters’ score was the most important of any result online this weekend, one of the other sizable scores at PokerStars included:

  • Maksym “MaxBMM” Bidiuk – winner of the $109 Sunday Starter for $5,999.74
  • “surprisefirm” – winner of the massive $162 for $4,157.11
  • “danger0us” – winner of the $109 Sunday Kickoff for $18,410.02
  • “edudrake1987” – winner of the new $162 for $6,714.28
  • Michael “MAE9690” Eiler – winner of the $215 Bounty Builder for $14,699.84
  • “veyrassois” – winner of the $215 Sunday Warm-Up for $57,950.10
  • “lacabanhita” – winner of The Weekender for $11,325.33
  • “Homeboiz” – winner of the massive $109 for $23,093.95
  • Matthew “theginger45” Hunt – winner of the new $162 for $15,202.85
  • “prebz” – winner of the $700 Super-Sized Sunday for $35,554.03
  • Stuart “guitey” Guite – winner of the $109 Bounty Builder for $15,674.12
  • Akos “Akkerx” Pasztor – winner of the $109 Bubble Rush for $11,246.07
  • “Reimund77” – winner of the new $109 for $19,410.53
  • “caaaaamel” – winner of the $1,050 Sunday Grand NLHE for $62,269.72
  • Andras “probirs” Nemeth – winner of the $1,050 Sunday Grand PLO for $38,460.69
  • “Mogelwette” – winner of the large $215 for $26,980.10
  • “U Key U” – winner of the $109 Sunday Cooldown for $22,805.80
  • “ToxicBluff” – winner of the $215 Sunday Supersonic for $35,765.03
  • Simon “C.Darwin2” Mattsson – winner of the recent $215 for $17,941.51
  • “onlymtt748” – winner of the $109 Sunday Wrap-Up for $10,100.53

Over at partypoker, “daBetFred” walked away with the $11,837.09 first-place prize of the $50,000 Guaranteed Weigh-In, topping a field of 644 within the $109 buy in tournament. Another $109 buy in event was the $150,000 Guaranteed Main Event which saw “emkolima3645" bank a fab $25,309.27.

A trio of high roller events happen at partypoker every Sunday: two with a $530 buy in and one with commanding $2,600 to go into. The latter awarded Simon “HellmuthTheGr8” Mattsson $47,937.50 when he beat Oliver “ThreeBunPass” Price heads-up, while the $200,000 guaranteed $530 buy in was won by “dartazz” who collected $35,000 after a three-handed chop.

The final high roller, a $530 Six-Max, was taken down by “KONY2012” for $16,109.53 with the aforementioned Mattsson finishing third for an extra $6,180.

Finally, over to 888poker where “MainHiAk” came out on top of the $100,000 Baby Whale, turning $320 into $21,013.05. Impressive as that score was, the $24,750 that Robert “float2felt” Snell won for triumphing within the $100,000 Mega Deep topped it with regards to size.

This week’s $50,000 Turbo Mega Deep resulted in a two-way chop with Aleks “alexdimitrov” Dimitrov finishing second for $8,780.28 and South Korea’s Jae “neontiger” Kim winning the tournament and $8,944.72.

In the $40,000 Sunday Crocodile, “asolisbri” turned $160 into $12,032.13 by becoming its champion, and “ickemeister,” Bogdan “Ph4N888” Nicolae and “bossamtisch1” finished in first, second and third place within the $60,000 Sunday Challenge, but not before striking a deal that banked them scores of $10,440.75, $10,909.65 and $12,348.55.
