A total of 62 players returned to the Las Vegas strip for day 3 of the cardboard Player Poker Tour Venetian main event. The players within the $5,000 buy-in event started the day just eight spots from the money, which was reached in only two and a half hours.
Even though there have been six players sitting with 25 big blinds or less, the bubble boy came from some of the average stacks within the room when Kyle Bowker called off his chips with top pair against the ground set of Brendon Rubie.
With Bowker at the rail, the rest 54 players were all within the money and warranted a minimum of $11,237. Notables who cashed within the tournament included Ben Palmer (53rd), Kathy Liebert (52nd), Tom Kearney (49th), Jason Wheeler (48th), Joe Elpayaa (47th), Lily Kiletto (43rd), Jeff Madsen (40th), Joey Weissman (39th), Eddy Sabat (36th), Hiren Patel (34th), Chris Oliver (25th) and Chance Kornuth (22nd).

There are 16 players remaining within the event, with Thomas Paul (pictured above) leading the way in which. Other recognizable faces still within the hunt include Jon Turner (pictured right), Jeremy Ausmus, Dan Heimiller, Dan Sindelar, Adrian Mateos Diaz, Tim Reilly and Erick Lindgren.
This tournament has truly lived as much as it’s name. The typical stack with 16 players left is 838,063, that is worth a whopping 52 big blinds going into day 4.
