Alexandre Castells just had his aces cracked and his reaction could have cracked his wrist given the ferocity with which he slammed his hand into the table because the river card knocked him out of the tournament.
There was 200,000 within the pot by the point the T♥6♦3♠ flop hit the felt, Castells committed his final 300,000 with A♦A♣ and Jonathan Schuman put him in danger with J♠T♠. The Q♠ turn card spread out the potential for the flush completing and that's the reason exactly what happened at the 8♠ river. Nick the ground man told him concerning the Marbella Cup that's scheduled and Sapiano was happy to listen to of it, and happier when told it was a re-entry event. It was mentioned to him that his time could be better spent that specialize in the principle Event but he said that he has a flight to catch within the morning and can not have entered within the first place if he'd had known that the tournament didn't end today.

It folded to Joao Vasquez Rosa Nunes Artao, who was at the button, and he opened to 25,000. Next to behave was Nick De Groot and he moved all-in for 133,000 total. Kevin Monroe wanted a count and after receiving one he re-raised all-in for approximately 475,000 and that got the pot heads-up.
De Groot opened K♠T♠ and was in bad shape against Monroe's T♥T♣. The 6♣9♣K♣ gave him the lead but Monroe had flush outs. The Irishman missed all his outs at the 2♦ turn and 7♥ river to slide to 342,000. De Groot is as much as 300,000. --NW

Sweden's Mats Jungsand needed an early double and, way to Nikola Ristivojevic, he got just that.
The Serbian opened to 27,000 from the cutoff and made a considered call after Jungsand moved all-in for 149,000 from the following seat.

Julian Feriolo was the second one player to fall today. The Frenchman three-bet all-in for 145,000 from the small blind after Alejandro Vazquez Gomez opened to 28,000 from middle position. Call.

When play got underway Armin Zoike was nowhere to be seen. The German had 752,000 to begin the day so wasn't in desperate trouble if he missed a couple of hands. Seems he had an accident at the way in and cut his head. It's nothing serious but accounts for the delay.
There's never been a feminine UKIPT or Estrellas main event champion but there were, initially of play, two ladies left within the field. A quirk of the seat draw implies that Janina Burger and June Jenkins has been plonked side by side on table one. --NW
12:20pm: Lajoux the primary to bust on Day 3Level 20 - Blinds 6,000/12,000 (2,000 ante)
Pascal Hocquard Lajoux only started the day with 100,000 so he did not have time to hang out and look ahead to a hand. So lucky that he found 9♦9♥ throughout the first orbit. It was unlucky however that he bumped into Mathijs Janssen's A♦K♥. The Belgian connected with the 6♦K♣K♦5♠5♣ board and Lajoux made his approach to the payouts desk. --NW

On the primary hand of play Bob Janssens got a double up. Albert Sapiano opened to 27,000, Nick De Groot flat called and Janssens then shoved for 221,000 total. Sapiano folded but De Groot asked for a count after which called.

Welcome back to the penultimate day of the PokerStars Marbella Festival. Just 55 players remain but, by the top of the day, just eight finalists could be left. Play will stop if that time isn't reached after ten levels of play, but we expect we'll be okay on that front.
All returning Spanish players may be happy after their team beat Turkey last night. The poolside party where the sport was played on a large screen was a perfect success and the mood can also be summed up by the below picture. -- MC
