In June, Maryland’s five casinos won $93.3 million from gamblers, which was the seventh straight month of year-over-year gaming win increases, in keeping with figures released this week by state gaming regulators. The revenue in June was a rise of just over two percent in comparison to June 2015.
The casinos set a monthly record of $104.4 million in May. The industry gets a large boost later this year when a $1.3 billion casino from MGM opens at National Harbor.
Of the $93.3 million, $59.4 million came from slot machines, while the remaining was from table games. Revenue from non-banked games (poker) was $2.48 million, which was not up to May’s $2.9 million. Poker revenue from this past June was also not up to June 2015’s $2.8 million.
