Andres 'Educa-p0ker' Artinano have been on his own, as a Spaniard living within the U.K with out a direction home, but he's now not a whole unknown after winning the Medium version of the 2016 SCOOP Main Event.

The day of reckoning. The inside track Main Event. All you needed to do was fade a treacherous minefield of 5,026 other souls all seeking the similar quest: The news Main Event bracelet and small pyramid of cash.

When it set out to the overall four, three of the players weren't neophytes. They'd been across the block before including American exiles Jerry 'hummylun' Wong and Jordan 'Jymaster11' Young. Let alone Andres 'Educa-p0ker' Artinano who most recently popped up at the radar with an auspicious begin to 2016 nose bleed season when he absolutely destroyed the 200/400 NL tables and banked over $833K within the month of January. After a deal was struck... Jerry 'hummylun' Wong busted in fourth, relatively unknown OMGitsH.O.H from Romania went out in third, which left a heavyweight bout between Jordan 'Jymaster11' Young and Andres 'Educa-p0ker' Artinano.

The final two were somewhat close in chips, which suggested the 2 were ready for a lengthy 12-round fight for the ages. Instead, the match went rather fast and spanned a trifling 13 hands. Nearly all of the action occurred through the final four hands when Educa-p0ker successfully extracted every last single chip from Jymaster11's stack. It was over in a flash after Jymaster11 lost a 193.8M pot. Jordan 'Jymaster11' Young was knocked out in second place, and Andres 'Educa-p0ker' Artinano was crowned the inside track Main Event champion within the "medium belt division."

The medium version of SCOOP Event #54-M $1,000 NL Main Event attracted 5,026 players. They created a prize pool worth $4,786,661.88. Only the highest 630 places paid out with a staggering $750,934.65 originally put aside to the champion. The primary Event had a $2 Million Guarantee, which was obliterated by the $4.7M prize pool. The general four players would negotiate a money chop, so the eventual winner earned $578,621.27.

SirWatts - 9th place in (Medium) Main Event

The Main Event was spread over three days. On the end of Day 1, only 251 players survived and made the cut for Day 2. The U.K.'s Airdraken held the lead with 4.2M.

Several notables cashed near the tip of Day 1 including a slew of members of PokerStars Team Online... Tyler 'frosty012' Frost (625th), Jorge 'Baalim' Limon (503rd), Jamie Staples (324th),Randy 'nanonoko' Lew (318th), and Mickey 'mement mori' Petersen (248th).

Late on Day 2, a couple of players busted at the final table bubble when action went hand-for-hand. Rounder62 technically bubbled the overall table in tenth place, but Mike 'SirWatts' Watts busted at the other table. SirWatts open-shoved UTG for 15.4M with A♥J♥ but got ambushed within the big blind by Xading's A♠K♦. Neither player improved but Xading won the pot with Ace-high and a better kicker. Watts went out in ninth place (with a $38,293.29 payday) and missed the overall table.

SCOOP-54-M - Main Event - Final Table Chip Counts:Seat 1: Ryokan (25,415,056)Seat 2: OMGitsH.O.H (50,831,406)Seat 3: Xading (34,493,147)Seat 5: iamivar (26,513,474)Seat 6: Jymaster11 (45,374,999)Seat 7: Educa-p0ker (18,312,857)Seat 8: hummylun (37,811,780)Seat 9: rumbaii4 (12,547,281)

The final table commenced during Level 49 with blinds at 400K/800K and a 100K ante. Romania's OMGitsH.O.H held onto the most important stack with 50.8M and Finland's rumbaii4 was skating on thin ice with the fast stack and 12.5M.

A couple of notables including a former WCOOP champ made the overall table...

Jerry 'hummylun' Wong won a Badugi WCOOP in 2014 and went deep within the 2012 WCOOP Main Event. Chances are you'll remember Wong from his inspiring final table run on the 2013 PCA Main Event within the Bahamas when he finished in third place. He cashed on the WSOP 14 times or even earned a cash at the NAPT.

American exile playing south of the border in Mexico, Jordan 'Jymaster11' Young, has over $5M in online cashes. He's an old-school grinder who went on a heater in the summertime of 2010. He won an aspect event on the PCA in 2012 and cashed within the WSOP 13 times including a last table.

Andres 'Educa-p0ker' Artinano is a nosebleed player from Spain who seemingly appeared magically out of nowhere in January to crush the 200/400 NL tables. Artinano went deep in a 2012 SCOOP.

Russia's Xading final tabled SCOOP Event #38-M and once won the Sunday-Warm Up for a 102K score.

The chip leader, OMGitsH.O.H from Romania, final tabled a 2015 SCOOP and a 2014 WCOOP.

TOMBSTONE BLUES: Ryokan eliminated in 8th place

Only 18 minutes into the general table, we saw fireworks and tombstone blues throughout the first bustout of the day. Habitual raiser Jymaster11 opened to 2M, Ryokan bombed it all-in for 4,765,056 with A♠T♥. Jymaster11 couldn't have called fast enough with K♣K♠. The board ran out Q♦7♦5♦7♠9♦. Pocket cowboys held up for Jymaster11 and Ryokan headed to the virtual rail after not catching a Ace to stave off elimination. Eighth place paid out $59,833.27 for Ireland's Ryokan, that allows you to buy you a large number of road maps to the soul.

HIGHWAY 61 REVISITED: rumbaii4 eliminated in 7th place

The final seven players locked up a minimum of a six-figure cash. The roving gambler hummylun raised to 2M intending to start the following world war, rumbaii4 nearly fell off the ground and shoved for 10,447,281 with K♠J♣, and hummylun thought it usually is with ease done and called with A♦6♣. The board ran out A♥9♥7♦3♣K♥. An ace at the flop sealed the deal for hummylun, who dragged the pot with a couple of Aces. Finland's rumbaii4 was dunzo in seventh place, which paid out $107,699.89.

With six remaining... OMGitsH.O.H led with 61M, followed by Jymaster11 (51.2M), Xading (42M), hummylun (36.4M), Educa-p0ker (32.4M), and iamivar (28.1M).

FROM A BUICK 6: iamivar eliminated in 6th place

The ballad of Ace-Jack versus pocket tens. Educa-p0ker opened to 2.1M, iamivar shoved for 24,063,474 with A♣J♦, and Educa-p0ker insta-called with T♦T♣. The board ran out T♥7♥4♦A♦3♠. Educa-p0ker flopped a suite of tens, which held as much as win. iamivar turned a pair, but it surely was too little and too late. Put a blanket on his bed. For a sixth-place finish, Sweden's iamivar earned $155,566.51.

With five remaining during Level 51 (625K/1.25M blinds), OMGitsH.O.H led with 65.5M, however the pack was catching up. Educa-p0ker sat in second with 58M, then hummylun and Jymaster11 both held 50M stacks. Xading mentioned the rear with 27M.

QUEEN JANE APPROXIMATELY: Xading eliminated in 5th place

The trio of shorter stacks busted within the first forty minutes or so. The overall five dug in for some trench warfare. You were given the sense they desired to shed one or two more players before the considered a money chop. Xading's short stacked became hunted prey, like a limping gazelle about to be devoured by an accelerating Namibian cheetah.

Xading got sick of the repetition, found a pocket pair, and made a last stand with 9♦9♣. Xading open-shoved for 13,888,980 and Jymaster11 tried to run the Russian down with K♦Q♣ and clowns he had commissioned. Xading dodged an assassination attempt at the flop, but got picked off when the Queen of spades spiked at the turn. The board ran out 5♥5♠2♦Q♠8♣, and Jymaster11 won the pot with two pair -- Queens and fives. Xading's nines and fives were no good. Fifth place paid out $203,433.12 for Xading.

With four left in quest of the bracelet, Educa-p0ker seized the lead with 80.5M and OMGitsH.O.H slipped to second with 78.7M. Jymaster11 was third with 62.7M and hummylun was the shorty by default with 29.2M. The overall four also locked up a min-cash worth 1 / 4 of million dollars.

DEAL

With four remaining, they paused the action to speak about a deal. Educa-p0ker was in front with 80.5M, and the opposite three were relatively close... OMGitsH.O.H (58.6M), hummylun (57.2M), and Jymaster11 (54.7M).

Any finalized deal needed to leave $40,000 at the table to the champion. The initial numbers were floated: Educa-p0ker ($521,638.97), OMGitsH.O.H ($475,213.61), hummylun ($471,730.11), and Jymaster11 ($465,344.05). hummylun was the primary to agree after which OMGitsH.O.H came on board. Jymaster11 was the third to mention yes. It came all the way down to the chip leader. Everyone waited for Educa-p0ker's response.

"I think the deal isn't fair for me given I play high cash, have more bankroll and that i feel more skilled," Educa-p0ker said. "I WANT to get 535k. I BELIEVE it's fair."

He wanted 5K each more from the opposite three, but hummylun and OMGitsH.O.H answered the same, "I AM NOT giving anything up."

Jymaster11 also shot down Educa-p0ker, "I AM NOT giving any up, Appears like we're playing unless you settle to the ICM deal proposed."

Educa-p0ker suggested they play for $100,000 up top as opposed to $40,000. Other numbers were tossed across the table, but they asked to look ICM numbers that incorporated $75,000 to the champ.

With $75K at the table, the second one deal floated was: Educa-p0ker ($510,414.19), OMGitsH.O.H ($467,044.10), hummylun ($463,754.63), and Jymaster11 ($457,713.82). Educa-p0ker liked those numbers and quickly agreed. Jymaster11 liked the numbers, as did OMGitsH.O.H. However, hummylun balked and wanted a unique deal involving only $50K at the table. The others protested.

They attempted a 3rd time to look what $65K on top would appear to be and people numbers were floated: Educa-p0ker ($513,621.27), OMGitsH.O.H ($469,378.25), hummylun ($466,033.34), Jymaster11 ($459,893.88). Now, hummylun didn't shoot it down exactly but wanted a modification at the deal and asked for an additional 1.5K each from Jymaster11 and OMGitsH.O.H. hummylun put it available in the market essentially saying... give me some milk, in any other case go home.

Jymaster11 said, "Alright I BELIEVE that's reasonable...I will do it. That's my max."

It then came right down to OMGitsH.O.H's final decision...who said, "OK."

They hammered out a deal! The general terms of the four-way money chop, with $65,000 left at the table for the champion, seemed like this:

Educa-p0ker -- $513,621.27hummylun -- $469,033.34OMGitsH.O.H -- $467,878.25Jymaster11 -- $458,393.88

With a deal locked in place, action resumed after the half-hour of negotiations.

IT TAKE SO MUCH TO LAUGH, IT TAKES A TRAIN TO CRY: hummylun eliminated in 4th place

We saw a bustout not soon after the ink at the deal was dry. hummylun open-shoved for 33,141,406 with A♥3♥ but Educa-p0ker awoke with Q♣Q♦, which looked so good mama, just like the moon shining during the trees. hummylun flopped a couple of Treys and turned a Wheel draw, but whiffed at the river when the board ran out T♣4♣3♣2♥4♠. Jerry 'hummylun' Wong busted in fourth place, but earned a payday worth $469,033.34.

With three left seeking the principle Event title, Educa-p0ker led with 147.8M, followed by Jymaster11's 61.3M and OMGitsH.O.H's 42.1M.

JUST LIKE TOM THUMB'S BLUES: OMGitsH.O.H eliminated in 3rd place

Five hands later, we saw another liquidation. Because the Bob Dylan lyrics goes, "It's either fortune or fame / It's important to pick up one or the opposite / Though neither of them are to be what they claim."

OMGitsH.O.H four-bet shoved for 58,576,274 and Jymaster11 called. OMGitsH.O.H made a last stand with 7♣7♦ against Jymaster11's A♥9♣, but a nine at the flop sunk OMGitsH.O.H's hopes and dreams of winning the news Main Event. The board ran out Q♦9♠8♣K♥4♠ and Jymaster11 won the pot with a couple of nines when OMGitsH.O.H never improved. OMGitsH.O.H looked fine in the beginning but left looking like a ghost and busted in third place, which paid out $467,878.25.

It was the battle of exiles with American Jordan 'Jymaster11' Young playing in Mexico and Andres 'Educa-p0ker' Artinano slugging it out from the U.K.

Runner-up in SCOOP #54-M Main Event for Jordan 'Jymaster11' Young

LIKE A ROLLING STONE: Jymaster11 eliminated in 2nd place; Educa-p0ker wins SCOOP Main Event!

Heads-up lasted 23 hands. Midway, Jymaster11 led 150M to 100M. That's as high as he'd get when he threw the bums a dime in his prime. Educa-p0ker rattled off six straight pots and won 7 of 8 to grab the lead after dragging a clutch 49.5M hand uncontested. Three hands later, it would be all over.

Going into the overall hand... Jymaster trailed 96.9M to 154.3M. Jymaster11 opened to 7.5M, Educa-p0ker bumped it as much as 19.5M, Jymaster11 bombed it all-in for 96,573,325 and Educa-p0ker called.

Educa-p0ker: A♠Q♣Jymaster11: 6♣6♦

It would come right down to a race between pocket sixes an Ace-Queen. The board ran out 9♦7♦5♥A♥7♥. Jymaster11 flopped a gutshot draw, but never improved in any respect. Jymaster11 lost with two pair -- sevens and sixes -- against Educa-p0ker's stronger two pair with Aces up. Educa-p0ker turned a couple of Aces to take the lead and locked it up at the river after fading the gutter draw.

For an outstanding runner-up performance, Jymaster11 earned $458,393.88.

Educa-p0ker won the inside track Medium Main Event. In step with the terms of the four-way money chop, first place paid out $578,621.27.
