Potawatomi Hotel & Casino has named Rodney Ferguson as chief operating officer. As COO, Ferguson will oversee all day-to-day operations of the property. 

From 2013 to 2015, Ferguson served as Potawatomi Hotel & Casino’s chief financial officer, where he helped lead the planning and opening of the property’s 381-room hotel. 

“We’re so pleased to welcome Rodney back into leadership at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino,” said Harold “Gus” Frank, chairman of the Forest County Potawatomi Executive Council. “Rodney not just brings a wealth of expertise in tribal gaming to the position, but has an intimate knowledge of the operations here in Milwaukee, so one can serve the valuables very well.”   

Ferguson has greater than 30 years of expertise in plenty of leadership positions both out and in of the gaming industry. 

Prior to his most up-to-date stint with Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, Ferguson served as CEO of Spirit Mountain Casino in Grand Ronde, Ore. Previous to that, he served as general manager on the Isleta Casino & Resort in Albuquerque, N.M. In addition, Ferguson is an authorized public accountant with a bachelor of science in accounting from Virginia State University.

Outside of the office, Ferguson enjoys spending time together with his family, especially his two grandchildren. He prides himself as an outdoorsman as he's taking part in RV camping and fishing. A sports enthusiast, he also enjoys basketball, football, golf and boxing.
