SCOOP 2016: TheInnuendo zooms to title in Event #14-L ($27 NL Omaha 6-Max Turbo Zoom)NO Deposit bonus $43

Many moons ago when the poker pioneers were playing within the back rooms of pubs and underground clubs, I doubt they thought they might ever see or hear anything of a No Limit Omaha Hi-Lo Six-Max Turbo Zoom tournament. They would not have even known what on this planet it was! It is a mouthful and a half, but poker innovations have come some distance in recent times, and because of PokerStars' amazing Zoom technology, a crazy poker variant like NL Omaha Hi/Lo may also be played from 2,991 players to a winner in somewhat over five hours.

That happened today in Event #14-L of the 2016 Spring Championship of Poker as Ukrainan TheInnuendo survived a three-way deal because the short stack, to recover and claim the title, turning a $27 investment into almost $9,000 in prize money!

Some of these zooming across the tables today included Team PokerStars Pros Adrienne Rowsome, Stavros Kalfas, Jason Somerville, Naoya Kihara, Jaime Staples, George Danzer, Kosei Ichinose and George Lind however they fell in need of the money for the highest 390 players.

When Germany's funkyfive1 was eliminated at the bubble, the rest players had secured themselves a minimum of $42.58. Jason Mercier was the one red spade to take home a profit on this one together with his 348th place worth a bit of greater than a min-cash.

Approaching the overall table, and it gave the impression of Aussie phenom James "Andy McLEOD" Obst was headed for his second SCOOP title in two days. Obst wbecause the chip leader with 18 players remaining but as the blinds kicked up with the turbo structure, so did the chance and the variance as Obst ran his stack right into a very pretty A♥K♠3♦2♣ held by dubfitz. Obst was crippled and out moments later in 9th place for $881.14.

RPILON won an enormous pot with a wheel to eliminate viktorrz in 8th place, but rather incredibly it'd be RIPLON who can be next to head. PaulSmiley landed a double up throughout the chip leader before RPILON couldn't improve his 5♣A♦2♣4♥ as PaulSmiley made an entire house. Identical to that, RPILON was out in 7th place and our final table line up was set!

It had only taken four-and-a-half hours to succeed in the general table, and the action didn't slow down, with the primary elimination coming after just three hands.

With the blinds at a whopping 100k/200k/25k, barcelona bl moved all in preflop for a little bit over eight big blinds and scrubbyz made the decision. barcelona bl revealed K♣Q♣4♥A♠ while scrubbyz tabled A♣8♠3♠6♠. But it wasn't a fair flop for the fast stack because the board was spread 7♠T♦9♦K♠8♦. scrubbyz made a straight and that sent barcelona bl to the rail in sixth place for $1,312.17.

Those chips were quickly pushed around the table to Lena900 after scrubbyz's set of fives wasn't enough to prevent Lena900 doubling up with a king-high flush. But again the high-variance nature of this event took hold as Lena900 was the following to fall.

Lena900 moved all in from under the gun with A♦J♥5♦Q♠ but dubfitz awoke within the big blind with Q♥3♦A♠A♥. The board of 7♥9♣6♥2♦8♠ missed both players, leaving dubfitz with a couple of aces for the high and a 7-6-3 low to scoop the pot and eliminate Lena900 in fifth place for $2,570.01 in prize money.

TheInnuendo landed a double up with pocket aces against scrubbyz's middling connectors to go away scrubbyz in trouble. scrubbyz split a few pots to stick alive but that may be so far as the comeback would last.

scrubbyz moved all in from the button and collected calls from both PaulSmiley and dubfitz within the blinds. The 2 live players checked down the board of 5♥8♣7♣3♦8♠ and at showdown PaulSmiley showed 4♣Q♠4♠6♠ for a straight and that was good to scoop because the two other players mucked. scrubbyz would go away in fourth place for $4,038.59.

At that point, the 3 remaining players threw up the speculation of a possible handle PaulSmiley holding the chip lead.

PaulSmiley said, "numbers?"TheInnuendo said, "ok"PaulSmiley said, "balers gone now lol"dubfitz said, "icm"PaulSmiley said, "watever"PaulSmiley said, "i feel i got an edge on either one of you in all honesty"dubfitz said, "lol"PaulSmiley said, "we arent playing holdem here dubs"dubfitz said, "i've played a wee little bit of this game"

At first the ICM numbers were presented but PaulSmiley wasn't completely satisfied.

PaulSmiley said, "ill take 9k even then now we have deal"PaulSmiley said, "ocd purposes"dubfitz said, "not from me"PaulSmiley said, "76 dollars inu?"TheInnuendo said, "ok    )))"

With TheInnuendo delivering the pocket change to cure PaulSmiley's OCD, the players had themselves a handle $1,000 and the title left to play for.

The short stack of the 3 was TheInnuendo but upon resumption of play, he found a snappy double up through dubfitz to come back into contention.

TheInnuendo went on a hurry - directly stage winning six pots in a row which was significant with the blinds so high. The pressure was back on PaulSmiley who decided to three-bet from the button with a middling 4♣9♣6♦9♥. TheInnuendo moved all in and PaulSmiley called off the change he had left behind. TheInnuendo showed a robust A♣J♥2♥3♦ hi-lo hand, and although Paul Smiley flopped a set, TheInnuendo took it down with a straight at the activate the board of T♦Q♦9♦K♦6♥.

It proved to be a savvy deal by PaulSmiley because the chip leader quickly fell from power but still took home probably the most money from the tournament with a post-deal $9,000 for third place.

dubfitz said, "mid pairs are the nuts , gg"

Heads-up Chip CountsSeat 2: TheInnuendo (23,699,493 in chips)Seat 6: dubfitz (6,210,507 in chips)

That left TheInnuendo with a near four-to-one chip advantage entering heads-up play with dubfitz however the Irishman quickly turned things around when both players flopped a flush. Without a low possible, dubfitz would make a king-high flush to raised TheInnuendo's queen-high flush to take over the chip lead.

However the defining pot of the tournament would erupt three hands later. dubfitz limped from the button before TheInnuendo installed a raise. dubfitz then sprung to life with an all-in shove but TheInnuendo made the decision with 2♦A♠Q♠8♦. dubfitz showed K♠9♥A♣8♠ but if the board ran out Q♥6♥T♠9♦T♥ it was TheInnuendo's two pair, queens and tens, that raked within the pot.

dubfitz was crippled to not up to a small blind and despite two double ups, he couldn't make it a third.

Again the chips were in preflop with dubfitz finding a good Q♦3♠K♠A♥ to head up against TheInnuendo's A♦7♥J♠2♠. This time the board fell 5♦6♠T♥7♣J♦ which gave TheInnuendo two pair for the high and the most efficient low to scoop the pot and claim the victory!
